After we wandered in the fairytale city of Telc, we happened to pass by Brno to get to Bratislava. We had three-four hours until the departure of our Bratislava bus… And Brno was waiting to be explored!
The journey takes two and a half hours from Prague to Brno and you can reach there by train or bus. It is the second most populated city in Czechia probably because of its massive student population.
First, we visited Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, a breathtaking monument which has both Baroque and Gothic features. Does not it look intimidating from outside with those sharp and dark towers?
And inside, a beautiful stained glass welcomes you in its calm and antique atmosphere.
Then, we relaxed ourselves a little bit with a beer and desserts because there were anywhere near to be explored!
I said “Little Big City” at the title because it was small for us since we did not have enough time to discover its beauties. There are actually many things to be worth to be seen such as Tugendhat Villa, Špilberk Castle and Moravian Gallery. Therefore, I suggest you to spare at least two days for this little big city!
Have you ever been to Brno? If you have, please tell me about your experiences!
